It's been a frustrating week for me. All set to move forward with my business, renovating my website, creating art, when I woke up one morning and my my beloved Photoshop Elements had disappeared from my computer!!!! No amount of rebooting, reinstalling or purchasing new editions seemed to work. What was I to do? On top of that the computer screen in my brand new car which had been replaced due to malfunction had been recalled for more "fine tuning" and programming. So no car and no computer (well not strictly true, I do have my trusty laptop).
The perfect time to rest, restore and paint. And it occurred to me this morning after a conversation during a class last night, that there are some lessons to be learned here - and not the ones that you might think.
It seems that my computer was infected with malware and viruses that had managed to creep in under the radar. The Malware when removed from the system had taken with it parts of the program it had attached itself to. Hence the disappearance of my Photoshop.
It occurred to me that this is much like what happens to an empath when we unintentionally absorb other peoples crap!! Much of it attaches itself "under the radar" and buries itself so deep that we don't know that we are carrying it around. It becomes part of us (or so we think) until we finally figure it out and clear it from our system. Sometimes when we release this piece of other peoples stuff, it feels like it has taken a part of us with it and it can take us a while to reboot, and restore all of the missing parts. Luckily we are all still intact - it's just that we have forgotten where to look for those missing pieces of us.
A little bit of TLC and it all comes back to us. Empaths have an amazing ability to bounce back if you know how.
