Rosy Gold Trinket Box

Start with an empty wooden cheese box, your favourite acrylic paint colours for flowers, a touch of gold, a paint brush and your fingertips.

Gratitude Journal Page

The year 2020 was a trying year for many, many people but I find it a useful exercise to look back on all of the things to be thankful for.  There will ALWAYS be something.  Celebrate it with art.  Here is a time-lapse of my 2020 Gratitude Page

Free Mini Workshops

Can't get to one of my workshops at Wattle Cottage?  Then here are some simple abstract tutorials to get your creative juices flowing.  It will only take you half an hour to create a gorgeous piece of art.  Feel free to use whatever colours and shapes come to mind.  Have fun with them and enjoy the paint play.

Flower Garden
Old credit/gift/membership cards make great tools for art projects.  These vibrant gardens are painted using just a credit card and your fingers for tools.

Dandelions
Have you been wondering what to do with all those empty toilet rolls?  This is a great project to do with the kids.

Heartfelt
A painting full of colour and love.  Simple enough to create with your children.
It makes a beautiful gift for a friend.

City Reflection
Paint a city at dusk, reflected in the water.  Another great project to do with the kids using acrylic paints and old gift/credit cards.

Art for Healing

The Art Journal flip through

Art journals are a great way to practice your art, write down your thoughts and plan your life.  These journal pages are from my very first art journals in 2015-16.  You can see how my life has evolved and my painting style has followed suit.  I included pages  from lots of different workshops to practice new styles and techniques.  Towards the end I used my journal pages to create a series of kombi paintings.  I hope you enjoy my trip down memory lane.

It's all in the details

A little bit of Art Journal inspiration just for you.
